The Moulin Neuf Park

Municipality of Ploudalmézeau

GPS : 48°32'38.8 N   4°39'18.4 W

Access : The Moulin Neuf Park ( Milin Nevez in Breton ) is on the left side, at the exit of Ploudalmézeau, on the Lannilis road ( D28).

It is a small paradise for young children and for all a place of discovery. On 4 hectares extends a large park where nature is exuberant, with ponds where all kinds of ducks frolic, huge carp ponds, domestic animal enclosures and two playgrounds for the youngest.

This area was once a swamp. It has been completely transformed. With the help of municipal employees, an association of senior volunteers takes care of sowing and planting, feeds the animals, and even organizes an annual Flower Festival in June, which attracts a large audience.

The Moulin Neuf public garden, which is free of charge every day of the year except during this festival, is the essential meeting place for families and horticultural enthusiasts who find more than 2000 rose bushes and a thousand hydrangeas.

Surrounding the basins, a quantity of gunneras shade the banks of their huge leaves.

In the spring, it is common to see swans with their families which have made their home in this protected universe.

The animal park also targets unusual domestic animals : black sheep from Ushant, donkeys, peacocks, turtledoves, dwarf rabbits, deer, fallow deer and llamas always amaze visitors.

A recreational stopover in summer on the way to the beach and a permanent spectacle of nature that we see there metamorphose all year round.
