The menhirs of Kerguiabo

Municipality of Plourin

GPS : 48°31'01.8 N  4°44'30.0 W

Access :   From St-Renan, take the D68 towards Argenton. After the St-Roch chapel, turn left at the 4throad.
From Argenton, take the D68 towards St-Renan. Pass the small road on the left leading to the water tower and turn right onto an asphalt road in front of a small "Kerber" sign.
Both menhirs, located in a private field, are immediately visible on the right.

Be careful, do not enter the plot if there are cattle or if it is cultivated.

Both were extracted from Aber Ildut granite and both have the same height above ground, 2.50 m.
What strikes the visitor is their frankly different appearance. One, approximately square in cross-section and 0.60 m wide, appears slender, while the other, 1 m wide and 40 cm thick, is stocky and rather ovoid in shape. Its top is like crushed. Only 6 metres apart, they remind us a little of the inseparable heroes of the comic strips Asterix and Obelix.
